WELCOME TO TRT 2014

Hello and congratulations for being selected in the TRT lottery drawing.There is a huge buzz about this year's TRT Endurance Runs and I'm glad you will be a part of it. Our team is already deep in the planning stages to make sure that the Tahoe Rim Trail Endurance Runs are a great running experience for you. We will periodically send you information about the race via the email service with Ultra Signup, and through the race's Constant Contact service. I also urge you to check the TRT race website. We will be adding updated information as the race approaches. Also if you are on Facebook, check out the TRT page and "like" it so you get in with the action and postings from us and others in the race.   I have been receiving a lot of emails asking about the room discount at the host hotel, The Plaza Hotel in downtown Carson City. You can now contact the hotel at (888) 227-1499 or visit their website at but be sure to let them know you are with the Tahoe Rim Runs. The discounted rate is $69 plus tax for a standard double queen, you can also upgrade to a deluxe room for $79. These prices are good from Thursday July 17th through Sunday the 20th. I also negotiated the same rates for the training run weekend June 14 & 15th. Again let them know you are with the TRT runs. For those getting up at o'dark 30 on race morning this tremendous staff sets up breakfast starting at 2 am for you. It is walking distance from the packet pickup on Friday and all the cool restaurants in downtown Carson City. Another item that you will want to jump on is a bus pass to the start-line on race morning at Spooner Lake Nevada State Park. We have very limited parking available and it is off-site, a short distance from the entrance of the Park. We provide shuttle service into the state park from the parking area. If you are staying at the Carson City Plaza Hotel or live in the area and want a bus ride from the Plaza Hotel to Spooner Lake State Park you can now purchase a pass for $12 online at Our Online Store/.  Buses for the 100 milers will load at 3:15 am and at 3:30 am.  Buses for the 50 mile and 50K will load at 4:15 am and at 4:30 am.  If you do not have a crew meeting you at the finish line we provide shuttle service back to the Plaza Hotel. So let your family and crew sleep in and take the bus! As many of you know TRT 100 requires all 100 mile participants to do 8 hours of volunteer trail maintenance or trail building. Please download and fill out the  volunteer form. You can download it from the TRT website as well. You have until June 30th to have it into us but please be proactive in getting this done early. Those that do not satisfy this requirement will be automatically removed from the 100 mile race and offered a spot in the 50 mile. This is not negotiable! For those that have done trail work since last July 15th you can use this trail work towards this requirement. So for now for those of you out West enjoying the spring like winter, enjoy your training miles.
